कैंसर से जंग जीत चुकी हैं लीजा रे

एक्ट्रेस लीजा रे 4 अप्रैल को अपना 48वां बर्थडे सेलिब्रेट कर रही हैं। महज 16 साल की उम्र में अपना करियर शुरू करने वाली लीजा को तब धक्का लगा, जब उन्हें पता चला कि वो कैंसर से जूझ रही हैं। हालांकि, एक्ट्रेस ने हार नहीं मानी और इस बीमारी से लड़कर जिंदगी की जंग जीत ली। उनकी जिंदगी किसी फिल्मी कहानी से कम नहीं है।

लीजा रे ने तमिल फिल्म से एक्टिंग की शुरुआत की थी, लेकिन नुसरत फतेह अली खान के म्यूजिक वीडियो 'आफरीन' ने उनकी जिंदगी बदल दी। साल 2001 में उन्होंने 'कसूर' फिल्म से डेब्यू किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने 'वॉटर' मूवी में भी काम किया। इसके बाद वो कई हॉलीवुड फिल्मों में भी नज़र आईं।

लीजा रे साल 2009 में बताया कि वो मल्टीपल मायलोमा नाम के ब्लड कैंसर से जूझ रही हैं। उन्होंने करीब एक साल तक इस बीमारी से लड़ाई की और फिर विजेता बनकर खड़ी हुईं।

साल 2011 में लीजा ने फिर से अपने करियर की शुरुआत की। उन्होंने डिस्कवरी चैनल के पॉपुलर ट्रेवल शो को होस्ट किया। इसके अलावा एक फूड शो भी होस्ट किया। वो लेखक, सोशल एक्टिविस्ट और टीवी पर्सनैलिटी भी हैं। वो हाल ही में एक वेब सीरीज में भी नज़र आई हैं।

लीजा ने कैंसर से जंग जीतने के बाद साल 2012 में जैसन डेहनी संग कैलिफोर्निया में एक-दूजे का हाथ थामा। साल 2018 में वो सरोगेसी के जरिए दो जुड़वा बच्चियों की मां बनीं। वो सोशल मीडिया पर उनकी फोटोज शेयर करती रहती हैं।
